Plate Full of Pride

It doesn't cost us anything to be kind to each other. I think one of the main things that stops us from treating people the way Christ treats us is Pride. Even when we know the other person is wrong, or being rude, negative and nasty, we have to think about the bigger picture. And that is that we must follow the example of Christ. He could have easily wiped out his enemies, caused them pain or anything, but He still Loved them and treated them with compassion and kindness.

We have a plate full of pride, but we refuse to swallow it. Digest it and turn it into Positive Pride, where we can say we're proud of ourselves for the way we handled the situation. What's more, God will be proud of us for letting our lights shine and becoming the bigger people! It seems too hard for us to forgive people because of our (negative) pride, but we will feel so much better when we just let go and say, "it is well with my soul."
