...Relationships...Is this Love?

When we tell people we love them, do we really mean it? Or are we saying it out of obligation, or because it's a nice thing to say, or because we feel like we do, but might not truly understand what loving someone truly entails. When I was younger I used to get so excited when a boy told me he loved me. Why? Because I knew that Love is the greatest gift in the world; however, I didn't understand that just because they said it, didn't necessarily mean they knew how to show or walk in it.

There are certain things we must understand about Love and those things are spelled out in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 "Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance."

Let's practice Love in all of our relationships. Let's change the way we talk to our children, friends, families and significant others and start to speak and walk in true Love in those relationships.

Change Your Mind, Change Your Life!
